Established in 1973 as a packing manufacturer serving a thriving Newport docks, Mon Timber has evolved into a one-stop-shop for all things timber.
The core of our business is now merchanting construction timbers to home builders and contractors across South Wales & the West of England, but also serving local DIY trade. We have expanded our operations to include roof truss & floor set manufacturing in our engineered products factory premises and also a joinery workshop for bespoke items.
Our team of highly skilled joiners can produce bespoke timber items including; made to measure windows, doors & frames, shop counters, screens, stairs and more. We have invested in state of the art technology which allows us to machine skirting, architrave or cladding mouldings in house. We are able to produce cutters to match up any profile if it's necessary to match up to existing skirting boards etc.

Our engineered timber facility incorporates state of the art design and manufacturing technology to precisely cut and assemble truss and floor joist sets. We offer a full service including site measure. Call to discuss requirements, arrange a site visit or to obtain an estimate.
Our floor joist team can produce sets using Steico I joists or cutting edge space joist technology.
Space joists use a revolutionary open web steel and timber system to produce super light beams with incredible structural integrity. The joists are made to measure so that your wastage is reduced and time saved on-site when fitting. Longer spans are achievable in comparison to solid timber. This may eliminate the need for intermediate load bearing internal walls, thus reducing a building’s overall cost.
